Mini Charmant DIY Project
Just 2 weeks back from now, I was at Johnny’s house doing some “facial” upgrades for my 16v engine, it was all Johnny’s idea and add to the fact that I don’t even know how to start, he guided me all the way (big THANKS to him!). First, I got to remove my valve cover, never thought it was THAT easy!
As you can see, no biggie there as I’m using stock CAMs, but Johnny’s on the other hand….
…is rocking a HKS racing CAM for his turbocharged + NOS’ed 4AGE, dayumn~!
After we both took out our valve covers, its time to smoothen out the surface and clean it up.. with soap!
After an hour of work, we finally get to apply the “VTEC Red” on our valve covers, LOL!
Here is how it looks on Johnny’s engine after installed:

Badass 4AGTE + NOSed!
Looks f*cking BADASS I must say! It’s a beautiful… BEAST! Now… time to have a look on mine…*gulp*…
Definitely not as impressive looking as Johnny’s badass 4AGE, but hey I’m actually pretty stoked at the new look! VTEC just kicked in yo! Ha ha ha!
Aside from the new valve cover paints, I’ve also had my Ebrake temporarily fixed with longer nuts, it’s still not as tight, but at least now I can use it for parking purposes, better than having no Ebrake at all.
Then Johnny (yes, him again) also taught me how to DIY the infamouse drift Ebrake level! All you need to do is just remove the inner spring of the level, get a tiny screw for the button, and whalla! Job’s done!
I know I know… seriously ROFL!!! But hey it works okay!? If only my Ebrake is working properly, I would be so rocking this Ebrake handle all day long!
Lastly, my freebie spacers have finally returned to Johnny for good since he’s now putting them on his wheels to test on his fender flares, now my rear wheels are looking more pathetic than ever:
…. *cries*…..

Hey how to do the ebrake mod? Open the whole casing and remove spring and just jam the screw onto the cover only so next time can pull it out to lock the ebrake when parked? Not that I need it since i got drift button, but you know in case wanna mod other cars… 😉

Louis: after u took out the ebrake button, just find something sharp to hook out the spring, it’s that straightforward, after the spring is out, place back the button, job’s done.

hey sorry but there is an other way for the e-brake. in my charmant i simply unscrew the button. and thats it . it wont get stuck untill i put the botton back.
