Short Family Trip to Kuching – 1 to 4 Jun 2018

It was the Gawai holidays, so me and my wife decided to bring all 3 of our elder sons on a road trip to Kuching, since the first ever Sarawak Samariang Waterpark was recently opened, I was very eager to bring all my boys there to check it out, and we weren’t disappointed too, despite the large crowd, the facilities were very nice and fun, and best of all, the prices are very reasonable too.

It was a very relaxing yet fruitful family trip for us, we stayed in a nice AirBnB apartment adjacent to the Vivacity mall, had some great meals, went to check out Dinosaur workshop, the upside down house as well as few iconic Kuching localities.

Invited as Drift Coach at Miri – 17 May 2018

After Miri Gymkhana and Drift Challenge R1 was over, the Miri enthusiasts started to get more serious in Drift, few of them actually decided to invite me and Ngo to travel all the way to Miri Lutong Old Airport runway to guide them in the art of sideways driving.

After some planning, few of us from Sidewayz Squad made the trip to Miri for a 2 days drift coaching session for the Miri drifters, the weather on both days were good and there were decent progress made, the Lutong old airport was as good of a drift practise venue just like Sibu and Bintulu, but the engine setup of the Miri drifters need some adjustments as it wasn’t suited for drifting, so that was the only drawback, overall, except for HWS who had his 16v 4AGE blown moments before the coaching starts, Johnny, Percy and Michael all had their fair share of training done, considered a productive session and we were so glad to be there to be of assistance.

Mark my words, this is also the moment that Miri drift scene started blooming, in just a few short years time, huge drastic changes and improvements will be seen… I’m truly excited for them!
