Lain Kali Lah!

Posted in Personal, Random on May 9, 2013 by Stanley Carter

Bad week.

Malaysia didn’t managed to ubah after all, however it did seem to unite all Malaysians more, I guess that’s a good thing, just check out the insane crowd that turned out at the Kelana Jaya Stadium last night, it was mind blowing!

Anyways, politics aside… here’s another bad news, apparently the MEMC car time attack has been SACKED, there’s a pretty long story behind and may even be political related, but I’m too lazy to go into the details, simply put, some motherfuckers are making a fuss about the event and unfortunately they got their wish, IMO these mofos better step down and give others a chance to help the Sarawak motorsport scene grow, seriously, we barely have any legitimate motorsport events here, and I believe there’s HUGE potential for Sarawak, too bad there’s fuckers are mostly around fucking things up when they all should be working together to help the sport grow and bloom.

Enough ranting, I’m done for the post, till next time!

Sibu Floods Again – 22.Aug.2010

Posted in Random on August 22, 2010 by Stanley Carter

I snapped these pictures in my Dad’s car while we were on our way to town for breakfast, needless to say, we were very ‘surprised’…

Sibu Flood 22.Aug.2010

The red shirt dude is about to take a leap.

No more parking.

I can feel the driver's pain.

Ah Beng Wira has no fear of flood.

I think it’s fair to call Sibu as ‘The Venice of Sarawak’.

LuLu – My Deaf Dalmation

Posted in Random on August 21, 2010 by Stanley Carter

My dear 'LuLu' - The Deaf Dalmation

Me and my dad bought LuLu over from a friend of his when she’s only 2~3 months old, now after 7 months, she’s looking better than ever.

When we first got her, we were all very excited, it’s our first Dalmation for the family, since we wanted to make sure we would raise her well, I went online and did some basic research on Dalmations, little did I know that some Dalmations have a tendency of going deaf after birth, and our LuLu is one of them.  We didn’t knew until my elder brother suspected it after it has lived with us for more than 2 months, we took her to the nearest veterinary and she was confirmed deaf, we were all shocked and a bit saddened by the truth, but then the thought of loving her less never crossed our minds, instead we continued loving her and raised her up like any other pet that we’ve owned in the past.

To train a deaf dog is definitely a challenge, well, actually… challenging would be an understatement, I’d be real honest here and just admit that it’s merely impossible for us!  I’ve done some studies again online on how to train and raise deaf dogs, while I did applied most of those techniques on LuLu, they never seem to work.  I know that patience is the key, but time is our biggest problem, as all of us have to work on a daily basis, we simply don’t have enough time for LuLu.

All in all, LuLu is still a beauty, but she’s a real menace!  After 7 months, she’d still tries to bit anything on her path!  Slippers, newspapers, carpets, my Dad’s cigarette packs, wires, ropes…. ANYTHING!  And since she can’t hear us, nor does our angry expression with the hand gesture thingy worked at all, we have to resort to a more physical approach, by using a long stick and hit her whenever she’s attempting something nasty, yet, she still never learns her lesson, now THAT… is pretty frustrating.

We still love her though, but not so when she rips all our stuffs, LOL!!

The future of automible sucks, don’t you agree?

Posted in Random on May 31, 2010 by Stanley Carter

One word, hybrids.

This thought has been bugging me for quite some time, and this latest news regarding the delayed + redesign FT-86 for 2013 just killed me!

I know, I know, hybrid is for the better future, we need to protect the Earth and blar blar blar…. but damn, FT-86 in hybrid, that is just WRONG! T_T

The only automaker that still makes decent sport cars is Nissan, thank god for their GTR and then the new 370Z, respect!  Honda?  Their the first to produce the so called hybrid sport CR-Z, such a pussy car if you ask me, and many enthusiasts hated it, I’m no exception.  And for Toyota… aside from their ridiculously priced and super limited LF-A, there’s nothing worth expecting for, plus, who else could afford a LF-A if you ain’t a Sultan or something, anyone sane and had that much money would opt for Ferrari or Lambo, at least that’s what I’m thinking.  LF-A, though a very, very nice Super Car, still makes me wanna vomit, ugh!

JDM aside, what other choices do we have?  I can only think of a few, namely Hyundai, or USDM rides such as the Mustang, which has been receiving great reviews, but I’m not sure how it will be priced in Malaysia.  As for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe, I personally think it is the next best thing closest to the Nissan Silvia series, no?

When Toyota first announced the FT-86, I had my eyes set on it and hoped that I could one day afford to buy one, now if the rumored news that I posted above is in fact true, then all my hope is lost, well, I guess the Genesis Coupe could be a pretty cool alternative option.

Seriously, think about it, FR light/midweight sports cars (not super expensive SUPER cars), what other options do we have?  The future for affordable sports car is looking very dim, that’s for sure…

The world is sick.

Posted in Random on April 24, 2010 by Stanley Carter

Natural disasters are EVERYWHERE these days!  Some say 2010 has been the year of Earthquakes, and I hate to agree but it is quite in fact, very true.

Iceland Volcanic ashes problem, new diseases and etc…. and speaking of diseases, my family has been sick for the 2nd week thus far, first it was my wife, then my son, Darren, followed by my Mother, and now me.

Ever since my wife and son got sick, I’ve been spending most of my free time taking care of them as well as visiting clinics.  Many have been sick lately, some say its due to Sibu’s recent unpredictable weather, yet I’m not so sure, but one thing is certain, sickness nowadays simply don’t get cured as easily as it was before anymore, anyone agree?

Since I ain’t feeling too well, it’s obvious I haven’t been spending much time with my Charmant, so no updates on any Sibu dorifuto action, sorry to disappoint.

By spending most of my time at home resting, I resorted to PC games.  I’ve got my faulty Motherboard replaced along with new CPU and RAM earlier this month, and finally upgraded to Windows 7even as well, not only was my frequent bluescreen issues were gone, but I am now able to play more recent games thanks to the newer OS and hardwares.

I’ve just finished Batman: Arkham Asylum last 2 weeks and man was that an AWESOME game!  I’m currently in full pursuit to finish Resident Evil 5, with many other games still in waiting, such as Bad Company 2, Bioshock 2, Modern Warfare 2…

Until I’m fully recovered, PC games and pills will be my best friends for the time being.

R/C Drifting at its Best!

Posted in Random on March 25, 2010 by Stanley Carter

Stumbled upon this real cool video on YouTube, showcasing R/C cars drifting.

There are several highlights in this video, first is the S15 with it’s lambo doors + a dummy driver that actually moves with the steering!  And then there are the drift trains, with many other cool looking R/C drift cars showing it off sideways, and getting huge angles around the mini track, so entertaining!

The only downside is the video quality, kinda gave me the headache.
