I finally got my 4AGE engine oil, filter and the T50 gearbox oil changed yesterday, after driving the car for like 1.5 years without servicing at all (except for the recent LSD oil change, hehe!)

I went to a friend’s shop called A1, got my car jacked up ready for gearbox oil change:

This time I’m going for Castrol MTF EPX 80W-90:

The gearbox oil was changed without any sweat, then came the time to change my oil filter, which caused us a whole lot of crap shit troubles! Somehow the previous dude that changed my oil filter seems to have fitted it way too tight and my mechanic friend is having real difficulties in taking it off, after almost an hour of manly attempts with some screws and hammer, he got it off, and the filter now looks like this:

After we got the new filter fitted and the engine oil changed, I tried to startup the car but failed, we fiddled around with the spark plugs and battery and whatever related stuff and the car finally able to start, but then it started to misfire just like the other day, after some minor checkups it was found that my cheapo PROTON plugs needed to be replaced, AGAIN. I had it changed for free but I ain’t sure how long it would last, the worrying part to me is that it may not be the cheapo plugs but it could be something else that’s causing the plugs to fail in a short period, from the past several months till now, this is my 4th spark plug change already, damn!
On a side note, I have a real young friend called Kyle which we’ve known each other for some time from the DCM LFS community, this kid right here has got the COOLEST dad in Malaysia, apparently his dad is into cars, and enthusiastically! The story starts when Kyle’s dad bought themselves an HCR32 few days ago, right after they bought the car, the dad drifts it and then took his son around town the next day just to source for more goodies like better rims and such, the dad even ASKS the son to test drive the car even though he hasn’t got his license!
