Rain = Good! Flood = No Good!

I’ve always loved raining days, raindrops drizzling down from the sky, cooling down the temperature and making everything wet and slippery too, especially the roads, which is always good for drifting! ^^

But when there’s too much rain, especially in a town like Sibu where the drainage system is disastrous and the gov’t full with blood sucking pigs, you’ll get this:

The three pictures above were shot from my mom-in-law’s house, luckily they’re staying on the 2nd floor which is totally safe from the water, however it ain’t so lucky for the family staying downstairs though, pity them. :\

Anyways, the flood has basically subsided since yesterday and everything seems to be back to normal again, lets do hope that the flood doesn’t return during CNY!

Back to my Charmant shall we?  I know, I know, I’ve said that I won’t make another post of my car unless my car is complete, which isn’t by the way, but I just couldn’t resist in sharing my little frustration.  Due to the non-stop rainy days, the temperature were very low for the past few days and it ain’t good for paint spraying, but in fact, my cousin decided to give it a try anyways, and here are the results:

The pictures you see above looks fine, but these pictures were actually taken right after my cousin had finished spraying, with just a few minutes later, the paint on some portions of the car started to drip down slowly, and both of us were like “holy shit….”.  The paint applied on my car is the “slow dry” type (direct translation from mandarin, not sure what’s it called in English), hence the dripping problem caused by low temperatures.

Due to the above issues, my cousin had no choice but to redo all the f*cked up parts and respray them when the weather turns better, this sucks, if it wasn’t because of this incident, I would’ve been driving my car back home today or by tomorrow.  According to my cousin, the soonest I could get my car back would be on Sunday, meh!

Till next time, and I really do hope that my car would be finished by then!

  1. hey hey… how r u.. long time didt post a comment liaw lu..~ im going to spray my ride after chinese new year… hehe..~ im going to spray super black on my ride…

  2. Yes it needs more temperature to make the paint sticks to the car..but oh well due to the rain..this is God’s test for you dude.

  3. Look like it’s going to be a job well-done. Just be patient! Btw, I’ve seen old cars nicely sprayed…but they put back the old rubber bumpers and so on – that looks terrible. And once ready, must jaga…wash every day, take good care – otherwise, won’t be nice for long. That’s why they say a car is like a man’s wife! LOL!!

  4. SH: Show me your ride la~ any pics to share?

Zam: WTF God’s test? This is simply caused by man’s impatience, LOL!!

STP: Sorry to disappoint you as I’m putting back the old bumpers LOL! Don’t have money to do some custom kits for my car, plus old car looks best in stock form. Oh I’d take extra care for my car from now onwards, but that doesn’t mean I’d drift less, which in that case, I doubt the car would look any much cleaner after some abuse LOL!

  5. Stan, about the Stam thingy..its your name actually I misspelled it LOL!!

  6. Welcome home, Charmant! Stanley misses you so much… LOL!!!

  7. Ah can never forget the flood in Sibu…
