Alright, back to more of my Charmant’s restoration progress report!

Charmant body restoration

Charmant body restoration - rear trunk rust fixed

Charmant body restoration - more rust fixed!
Above are some of the pictures that I forgot to post up which actually shows more repaired body parts from my Charmant.

Charmant body restoration - Fender fixed!
And look! My fender is fixed, yippee for that! LoL!
Basically after all the rusts have been fixed, the car was immediately sent to my cousin’s paint shop which is situated at Jalan Sungei Antu, the shop is called “2829”, weird name for a paint shop I know, but I do wonder what it actually means, hmmm….
Anyhow, pictures, yes!

Charmant Hood Sand Blasting

More sand blasting!
Here you can see some sand blastings being done on the front bonnet and the rear trunk area, more to be done in the next few days, not a very fast progress though.

Putty body filler
This is the kind of putty that they used to apply on my car to smoothen out the dents.

Primer Paint
And this will be the type of primer paint that my Charmant will be applied on, except that mine is in white, not dark grey.

Charmant after applying putty
This is how my car looks at the moment, parked right outside of the paint shop, with the bumpers taken off and such, the putty job is still incomplete though, as you can see in the pictures, there are a whole lot more to be done before the primer paint can be applied. Oh and by the way, the little shop that you see in the background with a Pajero parked in it, it’s an auto service shop as well and the mechanic actually drives a 4AGZE car, too bad its a Corolla AE100 though, meh~
There is also something that I’ve been thinking a lot lately, which is to install a rear strut bar (if I can find one) or simply weld a steel bar here:

Rear strut bar maybe?
The idea of simply welding a steel bar onto the two suspension mounts was actually from Louis (a.k.a Tofu), I think it’s a good idea, if I really can’t find a proper strut bar to do the job, hehe! Thanks for the advice Louis!
